My name is Marcus A. Weicker. I learned to program at school. My first programming language was Turbo Pascal. After school I have studied mathematics and chemistry at the University of Düsseldorf (Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf) and theology at the PTH St. Augustin (Philosophisch-Theologische Hochschule St. Augustin). After my studies I began to work as a developer at several companies. Now I live and work in and around Düsseldorf, Germany. As an independent IT consultant I work for many customers on large development projects using Java and C++. Alongside I develop software tools for my personal productivity and fun.

I’m an experienced IT-Consultant with key skills in Business Process Mangement (BPM) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

I have experience in the field of design of value added IT services, enterprise infrastructure, availability architecture, IT audit (service management, security) , SCM & EDI.

My special interest is the software development process and how it can be made easier and more reliable.

To avoid the conceptual gap between modelling and implementation, my favorite approach is pragmatic and agile; bottom up from the code.
